Oxbridge Essays – now that sounds like a classy name for a British writing service, don’t you think? We thought so, but the website confused us right from the start. Instead of an order button, we saw one that said Start Your Essay Now!
What does start your essay mean, anyway? Is this automated software that leads you with tips through different research and writing stages? Well, no. This is a pretty standard writing service, so you order a paper and someone writes it for you.
Now that that’s out of our way, let’s see: is Oxbridge Essays legit? We decided to check it out and write our very own, unbiased OxbridgeEssays.com review.
Things to Order
Under the Services option in the main menu, you’ll see the following services: essay writing, dissertation writing, coursework writing, and additional services. Those are the major categories that cover a wide range of academic work.
If you need a product that’s not mentioned in the list, you can pick other and speak with an advisor regarding the requirements you have.
What Are the Prices? Are There Any Discounts?
This is where it got kind of complicated. There’s no specific price chart at the website. Still, when you choose the service you want and select the educational level, you’ll get an estimated price for an essay of 1000 words. You need a shorter essay? It doesn’t matter; this is the minimum price and it stands for all essays up to 1000 words. If you need longer projects, the price will be higher.
As an example, a 1000-word essay of lowest quality will cost you from £100 to £140, depending on the other requirements. This is the price for the 10-day deadline. An essay of LLB level and Upper First quality will cost you from £320 to £445 for the longest deadline. If you want the paper delivered the next day, it will cost £690. That price is huge and there’s no doubt about it.
To make things worse, there is no OxbridgeEssays.com discount code you could apply to reduce the price.
Is the Quality Good Enough?
We got a satisfactory paper of standard quality. But we paid an extremely high price for it, and there was nothing special in it to justify the cost. We’ve received much better content from much cheaper services.
This was okay, but it was not good enough for the price we paid. It wouldn’t get noticed in a bunch of average university essays.
The customer support representatives are available during business hours. They seemed pretty robotic and didn’t offer relevant answers to all our questions.
When we requested revisions because we weren’t happy with the quality, they turned us down, saying that the writer followed our instructions and there was nothing they could improve in the paper.
Overall Level of Satisfaction
We’re not saying this is a bad service. For some students, it might work. If you’re not worried about the extremely high price and you’re ready to be very detailed with your instructions, you might as well try it out. But if you want good price/quality ratio, this may not be the right choice for you.
